After discovering that we couldn't go into Parliament because it was Friday afternoon and they weren't doing anything in Parliament, we took a walk through the neighborhood around Westminster. We had book to guide us, but even so we (especially Scott who claims Lawrence of Arabia is his favorite movie) were surprised to find this plaque telling us that the real Lawrence had lived here. The blue plaques are posted on buildings all over London, if you keep a sharp eye out, you do see where all kinds of famous people lived, from criminals to writers, artists, politicians and royalty...

Lawrence of Arabia

I loved that about England as well, unfortunately being home-schooled I did not know the majority of people they were talking about. Except the little town down south where Winnie the Pooh was born... I knew that one.
