Well, the pregnant Mommie and the three year old made it to Box Lake and back this year...Whoo Hoo! I am so proud of them both. On our way up the steep stretch at the beginning, boys from a high school cross country race team passed us...running down. They had been to Morgan Pass and were on their way home. And they weren't even huffing and puffing. So, maybe some inspiration there...and the weather cooperated this year, it was sunny and warm, but with a breeze with just enough coolness to save the reluctant hikers from dying. And we all carried our own water, having learned that lesson the hard way...
All in all a successful trip, but camping with 5 little ones is a LOT of work. Oh, our new friends Amy and Frank and 4 year old Logan helped///they were camping across the way and Amy was happy to keep an eye on Leah, Sam and Aiden in exchange for Logan having some playmates. We want to adopt them and camp with them every year; they hiked with us, that's them at the left. And the little boy on the right is the son of the man who we asked to take our group picture.
Wait, I thought you were going to Florence Lake? These pics don't look like they're from Florence Lake..
