Showcase House......................... Alhambra......................... Hearst Castle
The Showcase House of Design is a fundraiser for Club Zion and Mary and I look forward to going every year. Mary actually goes home and recreates the ideas she sees there in her own House of Design, I just wander through and wonder who lives in these houses, what do they do...in Bakersfield?...Is there any way to legally make enough money to live in total excess? The house was beautiful, very Spanish with elements of the Alhambra and of Hearst Castle. After touring the house we walked around the Seven Oaks neighborhood for a bit criticizing the other ostentatious houses in the area. Of course none of us would want to live in any of these Horrible Houses...
